Types OF SENTENSE




DEFINITION : sentence structure of your writing include  where the noun and the verb fall within an individual sentence dependes on the language you are writing and speaking.


بنية الجملة تعتمد على مكان وقوع الاسم والفعل داخل جملة مستقلة وهذا يكون وفقا للغة التي تكتب وتتحدث بها


There three essenatial types of sentence (يوجد ثلاثة أنواع أساسية للجملة)
  1. Declarative sentences which are statement. الجملة التقريرية 
  2. Interrogative sentences which are questions. الجملة الاستفهامية
  3. Imperative sentences which are order  الجملة الأمرية .
  4. Exclamatory sentence which is used to express a sudden emotion.جملة التعجب وهى التي تستخدم للتعبير عن شعور مفاجىء

types of sentence structure



  • simple structure :contain one independent clause which can stand by itself. الجملة البسيطة  


عبارة عن جملة كاملة ,رئسية واحدة

Examples: Iam happy
This new laptop computer has already crashed twice.


Notice :simple sentence is not necessarly short,the subject can be asingle word,double or multiple words.ليس ضروريا أن تكون الجملة البسيطة قصيرة فمن  الممكن أن يكون الفاعل كلمة,إثنان أو أكثر


  • compound sentence:has two inependent clauses joined by alinking word (and,but,or)

الجملة المركبة  تتكون من جملتين رئسيتين يربط بينهم رابط


Example:I have a laptop and a smartphone

  • complex sentence:contain one independent clause and one dependent clause.

تتكون الجملة المعقدة من جملة رئسية مستقلة قائمة بذ اتها وجملة فرعية ناقصة غير قائمة بذاتها

Example:I go to the park because i like to watch the ducks


  • compound-complex sentence:الجملة المركبة المعقدة

contain three ore more independent and dependent clauses.تحتوي علي ثلاث   جمل مستقلة وفرعية أو أكثر


EXAMPLE:Iam happy,even though i dont make much money but my kids are always complaining since we can not afford to buy the newest toys.


NOTICE:clause(s +v)


Independent :acomplete clause.

Dependent :un complete clause.
